Benefits of Normal Childbirth:

  • Proceeds in accordance with the natural process: for mother and baby, the physiological birth mechanisms work in the healthiest way.
  • The recovery process after childbirth is shorter: the mother can return to her normal postpartum daily life faster.
  • The mother-baby bond is strengthened: Hormones secreted during childbirth favor the bonding of mother and baby.
  • Starting breastfeeding becomes easier: Normal delivery favors the strong functioning of the baby's breastfeeding reflexes.
  • The length of hospitalization is shorter: usually the mother and baby are discharged in a shorter time.
  • There is less risk of respiratory problems for the baby: Fluids in the lungs that are trapped during normal delivery drain more effectively.
  • Natural pain hormones are secreted: Hormones such as oxytocin help the mother to experience childbirth more comfortably.
  • Surgical risks are not found: the risks of infection, bleeding and anesthesia due to cesarean section are eliminated.
