Central Hospital Department of Gastroenterology provides international standards in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, biliary tract and pancreas.

Diagnostic and Treatment Services
The procedures performed in our department are individually planned according to the type and stage of the disease.
1. Diagnostic Imaging Procedures
- Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy: Scans of the stomach and intestines.
- Capsule Endoscopy: Imaging of areas of the small intestine.
- Capsule pH Meter: Wireless measurement of acid in the diagnosis of reflux.
2. Advanced Interventional Procedures (Non-Surgical Treatments)
- ERCP: Cleaning of bile duct stones and installation of stents.
- EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound): Assessment of pancreatic masses and painless biopsy.
- ESD and EMR: Endoscopic removal of large polyps or areas of early stage cancer.
- POEMA: Endoscopic relaxation of the muscles of the esophagus in achalasia (difficulty swallowing).
3. Fighting Obesity (Endoscopic Methods)
- Stomach Balloon: Temporary volume restrictive treatment.
- Stomach Botox: Botox injection into the stomach muscles with the aim of ensuring appetite control.
- Endoscopic Sleeve (Gastroplasty): Reducing the volume of the stomach by suturing methods without surgery.

Patient Process: How Do We Work?
Evaluation and Preparation
Our patients are evaluated in the outpatient clinic with a detailed history and physical examination. The optimal diet and drug preparation are planned for the endoscopic procedure, which is considered necessary.
Process and Discharge
The procedures are performed in the comfort of sedation in our specially equipped endoscopy unit. Most of the interventional procedures are daily, and our patients are discharged on the same day.
