Postoperative Anxiety: Do Brain Tumors Recur?

While it is a great joy to have a brain tumor surgery successfully passed, the biggest question on patients' minds is: “Will my illness recur?”

Importance of Biological Structure The main element that is decisive here is the “pathologicphase” of the tumor, that is, its character. Benign (grade 1-2) tumors are quite unlikely to recur when completely cleared in experienced hands. However, with malignant tumors (grade 3-4), there is a risk of recurrence due to cell-level spreads, even if additional treatments such as radiotherapy or chemotherapy are performed after surgery.

The Power of Staying Followed Control MRIs, taken at regular intervals after surgery, allow us to catch a possible relapse at the earliest stage. Therefore, not interrupting the doctor's checks after treatment is just as vital as the surgery itself.
