Obstetrics and Child Health Clinic

Our clinic offers a comprehensive and innovative health service from pregnancy to birth. The obstetrics department is equipped with modern 4D ultrasound devices, electronic fetal monitors and advanced neonatal care units. A patient-centered approach is adopted for every mother-baby couple; our team of experts work with an evidence-based and respectful understanding of care. In our multidisciplinary staff, obstetricians and obstetricians, children's health doctors, midwives, anesthesiologists and a physical therapy team work together to respond to all the needs of mother and baby. In this way, a safe and comfortable birth experience is ensured at all stages, from low-risk to high-risk pregnancies.

Our Services

Normal Birth

The normal delivery service in our clinic is patient-oriented. A birth plan is made taking into account the state of health and wishes of expectant mothers before pregnancy. In the delivery rooms, methods of pain management such as the possibility of delivery in different positions, the option of water delivery and epidural/spinal are offered. Our experienced midwives support mothers at any time during the birth process, providing relaxing breathing techniques and psychological support. Our child health teams assess the mother and newborn immediately after birth; while the baby receives the first examination, the mother is also given maternity counseling. Our operating room team is available when an emergency intervention is required during childbirth.

caesarean

The need for a cesarean section is determined planned or urgent in cases where the baby cannot safely exit the birth canal (such as plentoa previa, the baby being on the partner, previous cesarean section or complications). In our clinic, operations are performed in a fully equipped operating room. Our anesthesiologists provide minimal pain management to the mother after suturing (suturing), while the baby is also meticulously taken to the neonatal unit. After surgery, parents are informed and the Neurological Monitoring Unit service is available for newborn babies who can be admitted to intensive care if necessary.

Pre- and Post-Pregnancy Follow-up

The prenatal counseling service evaluates the future mother's chronic diseases, genetic scans and vaccination status. During pregnancy, regular follow-up examinations are performed: For example, according to the UCLA Health System, checks are recommended every 4 weeks until 32 weeks of pregnancy and every 2 weeks until 36 weeks. In our clinic, examination appointments are made at similar intervals; at each check-up, the health of the mother and baby is monitored in detail, ultrasound and blood tests are performed. After delivery, in accordance with ACOG recommendations, the mother in labor should have her first check-up within the 3rd week following delivery; this period is shortened if additional measures are needed. During the postpartum period, the mother is offered rehabilitation programs such as breastfeeding support and pelvic floor exercises.

Newborn and Child Health

Immediately after birth, the baby undergoes a comprehensive health screening in our neonatal care unit. If necessary, neonatal intensive care facilities take care of the most risky babies in the early stages. Breastfeeding is initiated within the first 1 hour after delivery and breast milk support is provided; only breast milk is given for the first 6 months as recommended by the World Health Organization, after 6 months breastfeeding is started while supplemental nutrients are started, while breastfeeding is continued until 2 years of age. In the case of child health monitoring, routine vaccinations, growth-development checks and additional screenings (such as hearing test, metabolic screening) are administered. Working in collaboration with sleep and nutrition counselors, our maternity physiotherapist and psychologist, we support mother-baby health holistically.

Routine Checks

Within the scope of women's health, our clinic also provides routine gynecological services such as menstrual irregularities, before and after menopause, bone health, uterine and breast examinations. Experts recommend that every woman come for a comprehensive examination at least once a year. Annual gynecological examination in our clinic includes smear test, transvaginal ultrasound and breast examination. In addition, information is given about preventive measures such as HPV vaccination, attention is paid to the health of women throughout life.
